“Him [Christ] we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ.”
We are simple church. What does that mean?
We have one simple yet profound purpose: to glorify God.
We have one important, God-given mission: To go and preach the gospel, baptize those who believe, and then make disciples of Jesus Christ by teaching them God’s Word.
And we have one all-consuming passion for the gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ. We not only believe it is the message we must proclaim to every lost individual, but it is also the good news we must preach every day to ourselves as we put our hope entirely in Christ and not in ourselves.
Finally, being a simple church means that we are not a program-heavy, program-driven church. At First Street Bible you won’t find many of the structured ministries that are common at so many other evangelical churches. We are committed to disciple-making by deep relationships between believers, all the while allowing time to each body member to be family-centered and free to serve God–in His church and in our world.
