Our Sunday Mornings

If you’ve never been to First Street Bible, we thought it might be helpful to try to give you a feel for what to expect. Our desire is that when you are with us, you are able to completely focus on God and not be distracted by the “unknown.” So, here, in a nutshell, is what you can expect on a typical Sunday at FSBC….

Worship Service 10:30-11:45 – nursery (ages 0-2), children’s church (ages 3-5)

Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!

For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.

Psalm 100:4-5

Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!

For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.

Psalm 100:4-5

The intent of our worship services is for a gathered congregation to turn its full attention to worship the Lord. From our opening call to worship…to the songs…to the reading of Scripture and prayer…to the preaching of God’s Word, we seek to exalt and lift high the name of the Lord.

Our 4-5 songs are a mix of traditional and newer hymns with praise songs and choruses.

The sermon will generally be a study of a particular portion of a book of the Bible, about 35 minutes in length. Each Sunday we look closely at what God has to say in a section of verses and think about its implications for our lives. You can also watch a Sunday morning service live stream, and all our sermons are stored on this website under “Messages.”.

There is nursery (ages 0-2) available during the service (the whole service) and children’s church (ages 3-5) during the sermon portion of second service. Both are located in the new addition (to the north), main floor.

We partake of communion, the Lord’s Table, together as a body, once or twice a month.

There are offering boxes by each exit for those who want to give to the Lord through His church.

Dress is casual.

We hope you’ll come visit us. You’ll find a warm and welcoming community that loves the Lord and people.
